We are thrilled to announce the De’Longhi group as the headline sponsor of this year’s London to Brighton Cycle Ride. De’Longhi is world number one for espresso coffee makers, providing high-quality, efficient, innovative and stylish domestic coffee machines, whether you prefer coffee Made For You or Made By You.
As headline sponsor, De’Longhi will be helping us add to the experience all participants can expect at this year’s event, with lots of activity planned in the build up and on the day of the ride itself – including an opportunity for all participants to enjoy a complementary coffee at the finish line!
Alex Pickering, Marketing Director at De’Longhi comments “At De’Longhi, we strongly believe in the positive links between mental health and physical exercise, just like coffee and cycling, they are a synonymous pairing. As with all timelessly cool things, the unification between coffee and cycling started with the Italians, so it feels apt that De’Longhi, a coffee brand with a rich Italian heritage, should be pioneering in this space to partner with the London to Brighton Cycle Ride.
By sponsoring the event, we want to bring coffee lovers, the world of coffee machines, the best possible taste from freshly ground coffee and cycling together for all coffee lovers to enjoy, whether taking part in the event or supporting a loved one. Although the pandemic has limited so much over the last 18 months, we want to be able to support cyclists with the launch of this partnership, to enable them to take part in an event and encourage positive wellbeing. Knowing how busy we all are, but also how important good quality coffee is to our routines, we wanted to use our latest in-home coffee machines to demonstrate that enjoying an exceptional cup of coffee – just how you like it – doesn’t have to take the expert skills of a trained barista. Our aim is to provide cyclists and their supporters with free coffee to bring that extra boost of energy to their day out and help with recovery post event.”
Siobhan Dillon, Skyline Events Co-Founder, also adds; “We’re delighted to welcome De’Longhi on board to the London to Brighton Cycle Ride this year. After the difficulties we’ve all faced over the past 18 months this event presents a landmark moment for us, our participants and our charity partners and it gives us a first opportunity to return to the live events & experiences that we’ve all missed so much throughout the pandemic. As a result, we’re working hard to make this year’s sold out event the best experience possible for all involved. We want to continue to grow the profile of this iconic event, our aim is to help raise more money for more charities in years to come and we believe De’Longhi can help us on that journey. We’re also more than aware how much cyclists love a high quality cup of coffee so we know that this is a partnership our participants are going to love.”
The sold out London to Brighton Cycle Ride with De’Longhi, will be taking place on 19 September 2021. Further details about the fun activities De’Longhi have planned in the build up to the event as well as what they’ll be doing on the day will be confirmed in the coming weeks on this website and the event Facebook page – so keep your eyes peeled!
